Braids, Bloggers and Beautiful Nails.

Yesterday afternoon some of my favourite bloggers were invited along to Tigerlily in Edinburgh for an afternoon of preening and pampering. I'm a little jealous I couldn't tag along myself, apparently dogs aren't allowed in Tigerlily?!

Anyway the wonderful Medusa Team were there to make sure the girls looked fabulous.

The Medusa team hard at work.

The girls even got they're own cocktail masterclass.

And the end results looks yummy, strawberries are my favourite.

And if that wasn't enough the fabulous Medusa beauty team were on hand (no pun intended) to leave the girls with talons to DIE for. The amazing Zara Brodie created some nail art for one blogger, she had a mini anchor painted on her nails. Very cute but I think I'll stick with my usual pink!

My favourite look of the night was this side braid that Ryan created, the perfect summer hairstyle!

Festival fever...

So it’s that time of year again and all of those crazy campers are digging out their wellies and parkas and gearing up for T in the Park this weekend, (you would never catch me in the mud – it’s nothing but five star spas and luxury boutique hotels for this pampered pooch).

But I do admire those who travel up to Balado each year, especially those that do it in style! There is never any excuse for not sporting an on trend look, and I’ve been chatting with the lovely Medusa team to get the lowdown on what’s hot this year.

Beach waves

This isn’t new – every summer we see beach waves come out in some disguise but this year they’re super clean and worn in a centre parting for an edgy surfer look. I know by Sunday it’ll be difficult to have super clean hair, but pack lots of dry shampoo and sea salt spray and you’ll be fine. Daisy headbands are everywhere right now and look so cute teamed with waves.

Side braids

Once your hair starts to get a bit dirty and worse for wear, tie it into a side braid and secure with a little snag-free band. Keep this look messy and nobody need know there’s a possibility there are mice living in there.

Top knots

And if all else fails, pile up on top of your head, twist into a ballerina bun and secure. Chic, easy and very on trend.

Now don’t forget your nails – with all that mud, nails can become unsightly at festivals. The Shellac 14 day manicure is perfect for ensuring they stay chip free and manicured. I’m loving orange talons at the moment, so bright and flattering!

But most of all have fun!! And be safe!

PS pack lots and lots of baby wipes.
